    1. Taylor Swift

As a Swiftie, I couldn’t compile a list of reveal outfits without including something Taylor related. For this look, you will need to create your own version of the signature junior jewels t-shirt and pajama pants, simple as that! To make it extra special, write your sorority families names all over the shirt to customize it.

    2. Winnie the Pooh

Pooh and Piglet are an iconic duo! There are a ton of Winnie the Pooh characters, so it is perfect if you have a larger family participating in reveal. To recreate this, get red and pink shirts with matching ears, then write “Big” and “Little” on the front with sharpie.

    3. Pajamas

If you are looking for something cute, comfy, and simple, try doing a pajama themed reveal. For this, you just need to find cute, match pajama sets for your fam and sleep masks. To be even more extra, get a sharpie or paint to customize them to say “Big” or “Little”.

    4. Taco Bell Sauce Packets

If you love midnight Taco Bell runs as much as the next person, your family can be variations of their sauce packets. For this costume, there are various shirt designs available to purchase on Etsy, or you can get crafty and make them yourself!

    5.

Lastly, it’s a beautiful day to save lives with these costumes! To be your favorite Grey’s Anatomy surgeon, all you need is a pair of light blue scrubs and a scrub cap. For an extra accessory, write “Big” and “Little” on the scrub caps!

    1. Three Hole Punch Jim

This is a classic, easy costume for anyone looking to put in minimal effort on their costume this year. All you need is a white dress shirt, black tie, and 3 circles of construction paper for the hole punches. This sarcastic costume is sure to be a hit among any sitcom lover.

    2. Taylor Swift from the “22” Music Video

As a Swiftie, this costume is not only easy, but iconic. All you need is a white shirt with “Not A lot Going On At the Moment” in black bold letters, black shorts, a black fedora, and red heart sunglasses. They have various lookalike shirts on amazon if you are struggling. The rest of the outfit can easily be found in your closet or at Target.

    3. Bob Ross

I might have had some personal connections with this costume, but another halloween fit that can be pulled together easily is Bob Ross. All you need is a blue button down, fake beard/wig, and a painters pallet. However, they do sell a Bob Ross costume package at Spirit Halloween for about $40.

  • Ranking Taylor Swift’s Albums from Least to Most Favorite

With the release of Taylor Swift’s new album “Midnights”, it’s time to face the backlash and rank her 10 studio albums.

    10. Debut

While debut was our initial introduction into Swift’s music and is a great representation of how much she has grown, there is a lack of polish in this album compared to her other work. However, It is still an excellent example of her songwriting and how she is not just a singer, but an artist.

    9. Fearless (Taylor’s Version)

Unpopular opinion: Taylor’s pop records are superior. Maybe Fearless being a part of the country genre contributes to it falling lower in the ranking, but it still managed to be one of Swift’s most successful albums, from going platinum to winning 4 Grammy’s. On the rerecorded “Taylor’s version”, the vault tracks are notable favorites (specifically ‘Nothing New’ featuring Phoebe Bridgers).

    8. Lover

There are multiple songs on ‘Lover” that are some of Swift’s best work (DBATC, Cornelia Street, Cruel Summer). However, as a whole the album does not flow as cohesively and with such storytelling ability as some of her other albums. For this reason, it does fall lower on the ranking.

    7. Speak Now

Speak now contains incredible ballads and moving lyrics (Swift was the only song writer on the record), but it is just a case of some of her later albums being more refined and more of my own personal taste.

    6. Reputation

The Reputation album and era are one of the most iconic comebacks in music industry history. While it notes feeling petty and vindictive, the concept of finding hope in love is the over arching theme that makes this such a powerful record.

    5. Midnights

There has only been 13 hours to soak up Swifts 10th studio album “Midnights”, so bare with me on this one. The alum is almost entirely written by Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff, so right off the bat you know it is going to be a defying record. The lyrics are clever and it is the pop rich sound we have been waiting for since “1989”.

    4. Evermore

“Evermore” was a product of the COVID-19 pandemic, when we were all in isolation. This album (along with the sister album, ‘Folklore’) allowed Swift to channel her writing as a narrator and experiment with storytelling in a way that she has not before. She pays as much attention to detail when writing other narratives as much as when telling her own stories, which marks the skill of a true songwriter.

    3. Red (Taylor’s Version)

Red was the first step that Taylor Swift took into pop music and it was done so eloquently. It blended some of her country, rock, and pop elements, which creates such a special sound and listening experience. This album is the symbol of fall and makes you just want to drive down a back road while the autumn leaves are falling down like pieces into place. For the release of “Red (Taylor’s Version), Swift created the All Too Well (10 Minute Version) short film starring Dylan O’ Brien and Sadie Sink. When you watch the film, it gives you the perfect depiction of what you picture when hearing ‘Red’.

    2. Folklore

This album was truly the defiance of Taylor Swift’s title of being one of the best songwriters of our generation. She uses words so carefully on this record to create a storytelling narrative. There are so many different sounds and so much room for dissection on “Folklore” that is is a stand out piece of work.

    1. 1989

“1989” changed the face and perception of pop music today. This album for me will always be the piece of work that made Taylor Swift into the artist she is today and is most evidently pop perfection. Her ability to step out of her comfort zone and do it so successfully is such an incredible accomplishment. If you want to listen to a genuinely good and well written piece of pop music, listen to 1989. I can’t talk about 1989 without mentioning the two main collaborators on the album, Jack Antonoff and Max Martin, who are two of the most genius producers in today’s music scene.

  • How To Go Thrift Shopping Like a Pro

Thrift shopping has become incredibly popular and remerged over the last few years among the general public. It has become a way to have a unique sense of style, keep wearable garments out of landfills, and revamp your closet at even lower prices. If you have yet to dabble in the art of thrift shopping, it can be overwhelming to look through so many unorganized and cluttered racks of clothes. To help you make the most of your trip to the thrift, here are some tips to shop like a pro!

    1. Make a Plan

Whenever you are thrifting, it is best to have an idea of what you are looking for. Thrifting is for buying things that you need, not collecting twenty more of an item you already own. This will help you stay focused and save money. Try saving pictures on your phone of certain styles you are wanting to find beforehand so that you do not get sidetracked once you are shopping.

    2. Know when the store restocks

Everyone HATES walking into a thrift store and seeing that most of the racks have been picked through already. To avoid this, find out when the store you are planning on going to restocks with new items and go when they first open.

    3. Sell Before Buying

Before you go buy more clothes, sell or donate the garments that you no longer wear and are just taking up space. By doing this, you not only are making room for the new clothes that you buy, but you can use the money from selling clothes to contribute towards your consignment shopping.

    4. Dress Right

In most thrift stores, they usually do not have many fitting rooms available or they have more recently been closed due to COVID-19. Make sure to wear something that you are easily able to slip clothes over, such as leggings and a tanktop or some biker shorts. Secondhand stores typically do not offer refunds or returns, so make sure the clothes fit before buying them.

    5. Set a Budget

While thrift shopping is cheap and we often get distracted by all of the low prices, make sure to set a budget to avoid buying more than you need. An affective technique to use is only bringing cash when you are shopping and leaving credit cards at home, this way you do not have the ability to spend more than your given budget.

  • ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Makes a $19 Million Debut

    September 28th, 2022

Don't Worry Darling | Official Movie Site

The 1950s psychological thriller written by Olivia Wilde made its big screen debut on September 23rd. The movie stars Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, who play Jack and Alice. The movie follows the married couple as they live in the idealized community of Victory. In the simulation, the men are sent to work on a top secret project and the women enjoy a life of luxury. However, Alice’s suspensions continue to grow surrounding what the Victory project actually is and begins to see red flags in her seemingly perfect life. She begins to dive deeper into her suspicions to figure out just exactly what they are doing in Victory.

On its opening weekend, DWD scored $19.2 million from over 4,000 American theaters. Internationally, the movie made another $10.8 million for a total of $30 million worldwide. Before being released, the movie received a lot of attention because of the off screen drama that ensued between the cast, but these tabloid rumors did not seem to keep people from wanting to see the film. In all honesty, the press may have helped the film have the successful debut that it did. For a film with a budget of $35 million, a $30 million international debut is not too shabby.

My Policeman premiere: Can anyone do a red carpet as well as Harry Styles and Emma Corrin? | Evening Standard

The premier took place at the Princess of Wales Theater, which was packed to the brim with fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Harry Styles. The cast was soon after taken to pick up their award for best performance at the festival. They then proceeded to have a Q&A where Styles details how having an off screen friendship with his costars assisted him in being able to provide an authentic on screen performance. He says,”I think having a base of a real friendship outside the characters obviously allows for the friendships scenes, if you will; doesn’t require much acting. And the in the more intense scenes, there’s a lot of trust and safety there. All of that benefits from a real connection.”

The new film features stars Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, Linus Roache, and David Dawson. The movie is based on the 2012 novel written by Bethan Roberts and follows Tom (Harry Styles), a 1950s British police officer. At that time, homosexuality was illegal and it chronicles the same-sex affair he has with museum curator, Patrick Hazlewood. The only thing is that he is married to his wife, Marion Taylor (Emma Currin).

The film is set to release in the United States on October 21st in theaters and will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video on November 6th.
